Overview
This article outlines the steps to recover passwords within the system.
When an Administrator or Client Advisor has lost or forgotten their password, they need to reach out to the Provider or Administrator, respectively, to reset their password.
Password resets are conducted by Providers for Administrators and by Administrators for Client Advisors.
Reset Password Step-by-Step
Administrators need to request a password reset with the Provider and Client Advisors with Administrators. The reset process is the same as described below:
- Login to SecureExchange
- Click on Manage
- Search for the Administrators or Client Advisor
- Click on Reset password button
- Confirm Reset Password
- Module will be displayed stating that the password was reset.
- Copy one-time password and share it with the Administrators or Client Advisor via a secure channel.
- At the same time an email has been triggered to the Administrators or Client Advisor who can reenter their account with the provided one-time password.
- Copy one-time password and share it with the Administrators or Client Advisor via a secure channel.
Notes:
- Secure Communication: Always use a secure method to communicate temporary passwords to prevent unauthorized access.
- Password Strength: Encourage the creation of strong, unique passwords when updating from the temporary password.
